Applications and types of MDF sheets

MDF, which stands for Medium-Density Fibreboard, is a compressed wood product widely used in the furniture and construction industries. It is made of compressed wood fibre and has a smooth, uniform surface, making it ideal for a variety of decorative and structural applications.

Applications:

• Furniture: MDF is a popular material in the furniture industry. It is used to make cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and other household items. The smooth, even surface of MDF makes it ideal for painting, varnishing, or applying veneer.

Types:

• Standard MDF: This is the most common type and is used for most furniture and construction applications. – Waterproof MDF: This type is suitable for use in wet environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. This product is coated with special resins that resist moisture.
• Fire-resistant MDF: This type of MDF contains fire retardant materials and is ideal for use in environments where fire resistance is required.
